Our tourism programs were designed in partnership with an agency specialized in experience tourism in San Pedro de Atacama, which has been operating in the market for almost ten years. Everything has been thought out so you can have an even more complete experience of the Atacama Desert when you stay at Terrantai. The tours are well-known by it’s exclusive itineraries, quality of service, selected vehicles, limited number of passengers and also, passenger insurance per vehicle seat. The tours also include safety equipment, food services and comply with COVID 19 protocols. Any dietary restrictions must be indicated when booking. All guides accompanying the tours are certified.

Altiplanic Lagoons… a protected place and one of the most visited in Atacama. A view that will charm you for it’s two powerful volcanoes and it’s fascinating lagoons brushed with a deep blue, which will make you feel part of a true work of art sculpted by nature. This tour includes a walk through the exotic viewpoint of Piedras Rojas.

A little-visited place full of riches that connects you with the history and beauties of the ancient travelers who passed through this region. On this tour you’ll visit the Yerbas Buenas sector, where one can be surprised by the cave drawings painted on the rocks. Apart from that, you will explore the Valley of the Rainbow – a valley of colored mountains that invite you to learn a little more about the minerals that emerge on its surface and give rise to its unique color palette. This tour is done in the middle of the afternoon (half-day tour).

The Chaxa lagoon is part of the Salar de Atacama and belongs to the Los Flamencos National Reserve. This route was designed to observe the different species of flamingos of the Andean highlands in their natural habitat and to enjoy the sunset that the driest desert in the world has to offer – rich in colors. Main stops: Laguna Chaxa and Tambillo. This tour is done in the middle of the afternoon and includes a cocktail and the entrance to the park.

One of the most popular tours among those visiting San Pedro. “El Tatio”, in Kunza means the “grandfather who cries”, and is the largest geyser group in the southern hemisphere and the third largest geothermal field on the planet. This tour invites you to venture out and walk through places with steam, gases and boiling water sprout around you. That morning you will also enjoy a delicious breakfast prepared with local products, served in an incredible setting.

Moon Valley is known for being the most traditional tour of Atacama and it’s visit is a MUST for you to have the complete experience. A place for you to connect with raw nature. A completely barren landscape, which comes to life with it’s impressive shapes molded by the wind.

Walking through a canyon is essential for those who enjoy adventure during their travels. This is an alternative route and a different way of discovering a source of water that rises at the base of the Jorquencal hill and fills with life the warm thermal waters of Puritama, the final destination of this tour. To visit the Hidden Lagoons is to enter a secret place, where seven colored lagoons with an intense turquoise blue can be seen up close. The lagoons shine, inspire and at the same time invite the curious sensation of floating in a pond with a high salt content. Part of the tour is getting to know Vallecito, which is part of the salt mountain range, an epic place that connects it’s visitors with the story of a mysterious abandoned bus.
